| URGENT: Need Alpine deck removal tool
Hi fellas,
I was in the process of removing an Alpine 9843 deck, except i couldn't figure out how the fuck to get it out. After looking around and finding the PDF docs, there's a special tool (look below) that is needed to remove it. Anyone have something like this handy that I can borrow? I need to pop this sucker out pronto.
SOMEONE PLEASE HAVE ONE (two?) IN THEIR POSSESSION.

That's a lot of hassle just to remove a deck.

Any removal key tool for other deck brands should work if you have them lying around (my pioneer worked on my friends' kenwood)
It's basically two flat pieces of metal that hold back the tabs that hook onto the deck.

Just use two butter knives. Seriously, it's not hard to do.
EDIT: OK, it's not that easy........ you have to hold one knife in one hand and the other in your mouth, while you pull the deck........ j/k. I recall using only one knife. Loosen one side and keep pressure on the deck (pulling action). Stick the knife in on the other side and it should come out. If not, I live in North Burnaby. PM me if you're kind of close and I'll bring the suckers by, or I could hold one of the knives for you......

I put a light up in there to see what's up and I stuck some thin flat heads in with no avail. When I have time to venture on this journey again, I'll let you guys know how it goes. Thanks for the help!
I just couldn't figure out if the tools were some kinda hooking mechanism or a pushing one.

I can take it out for free...using only my mind power.
Seriously though, we have keys...and or other removal tools like hammers and torches.

Isn't there a plastic 'bezel' from an aftermarket kit covering it? Go see Soundworks or Soundsgood, they probably won't ask for much to remove the stereo for you.

How long has alpine used keys for? back in my day of sales and installation, alpine didn't have keys, they had the typical alpine cages that didn't need keys!
should I feel old? or just lucky to be out of that industry haha
