Best ways to repel bees from making their nest of hives

Is there anyway to repel bees from making their hives on our balcony? My dad and I already took down a couple of their hives but they just go back and try to rebuild another one.

Are there any sprays out there or techniques that can be used to keep this from happening?

thanks in advance

go to homedepot, and buy the fake bees nest....it works pretty well.

other options is a tiger torch and a 40lb propane tank.

+1

Because of the lack of bees in North America, there is some great concern that this will have great impact on our food chain as plants are not pollinating properly.

I do beleive the bees are returning because of the smell that is left behind from the previous nest. Look around to see if there is any leftover nest/honey combs.

Actually, I forgot to mention. Every time I found a hive forming or random wasps flying where I was about to work, I would give them a shot of brake cleaner - dead instantly.

From watching Verminators on TLC, soapy water works too.

It clogs their ability to breath and thus they suffocate to death.

My bad, they aren't bees, they are wasps, and their huge. So the brown paper bag technique is used to fool wasps, because they think there is another nest there so they wont to build one by it anymore?

its cheap but it doesnt work aswell as the one i stated earlier....the pre-packaged one has a scent pack in the bubble aswell, which deters the wasp from building in the general vacinity.

btw, i got a wasp nest brewing in my external garage...lol. My most favorite past thing to do is silicone the opening closed late at night. It traps them inside the gutter and they go ballistic for a few weeks, then die off.
