Thumbs up Automind Richmond

Just wanted to give a shout out to Automind in Richmond. Never had any kind of car bodywork done in the city of rice but I did some searching on here and saw a few positive remarks about AM so I decided to give it a go. I dealt with Dave there and he was able to give me a loaner car and take in my Civic on the same day I went down there to get an estimate. Really fair prices too and the paint work on my Taffeta White was excellent! Funny thing was when I told him I found out about them on Revscene he had no idea what it was lol. I rarely have this positive of an experience on a cold try so two yerrow thumbs up!

We've been dealt with them for many years with our family vehicles in the past, and each time we are impressed with their work.

because they fucked up on my work thats why

they did custom grill on the lower half of the bumper, by installing the mesh, The guy was using a grinder to smooth it out, turns out he grinded the upper front lip as well while cutting out the plastic part where the fog lights belongs. The front bumper and fender did not match with the hood. Yes it was a tri-coat

Told me to pick up my car around noon, turns out i had to sit there until 6-7pm because they werent anywhere close to finish the car.
what a waste of my time

Old post, but my car was recently got T-Bone by some stupid driver. I don't know where to get it repair, my first accident in 9 years of driving while 2 days before i got rid of my class 7, N. So I searched around for a good auto body repair shop, some people recommended, Jan's Auto Body in Langley, but it was quite far from where I live then saw this post and how Automind is really good, so I decided to give it a try. Absolutely love it, good repair, good customer service, cleaned a stain on my seat even though that was not required and also there were nearby 2 lines 5cm long 1cm wide from a dint, dint was fixed previously, but I used touch up pen to fix the paint. Turns out they sprayed over it, while painting my 2 replace door panels. Extra fix for me! Also they sent me over to Enterprise Car Rental and paid for a courtesy car. Plus enter a draw for ipad2! lol I will be giving them 10s when ICBC calls for survey.

Edit:

This is the picture of my car after T-Boned. Automind estimated a week and was fixed in a week!

I took my RX8 there to get painted. When I got the car back, I wasn't happy with the colour matching. I spoke to them about it, they called the company the manufactures the paint(who admitted there was a known problem matching that colour) and repainted without any protest. Overall I was happy with my experience, found them very easy and pleasant to deal with, will be bringing my other car to them next week for some paint work as well.

not to shit on you but a week to fix that is kinda long.... i know most shops are slow right now and can work faster and would produce the same if not better quality..from your pictures it looks like you need a left front door skin(maybe repair) and a left rear door shell with what it appears to be minor damage to the b pillar.

One week is perfectly fine for a job like that. You don't know what happened in the repair process maybe if they ordered a shell and it came damaged so they sent it back and had to wait for another door.

I really don't care how long it took them to fix it as long as its quality work then i'm perfectly fine. Since the accident wasn't even my fault, 100% the other party fault and he will paid for it, then I rather have an excellent and long repair And its not like I didn't have a car to drive to my school/work place, Automind paid for a courtesy car from enterprise car rental for me to drive. They replaced the doors to 2 used good condition doors so it was perfect.

And like VR6GTI said, the estimated time varies as ordering the 2 doors can be unknown, perhaps back order etc...

A week for a repair like that? That's quick.

Took Bismark weeks to replace a fender, and paint a bumper.

Same car, took a cheapo bodyshop a few days to source a bumper and paint it. Drove in, installed within an hour.

End result: Same quality. Price difference: Huge.
