Las Vegas Hotels *which one?*

planning to hit up vegas for a week.

So far I came up with these picks, the prices are all roughly the same.

1. MGM

2. TI

3. The Westin

4. Luxor

any recommendations based on location, service, etc of the hotels?

Thanks

TI you will be closer to shopping and other nice hotels.

The Venetian

The Bellagio

only because staying at the above places , will guarantee you baller status!

Out of those, I recommend TI. I stayed there twice, and it was pretty good. Nothing bad to say about it. The best thing about TI is the location....pretty much in the middle. The other hotels you listed are at the end of the strip and Westin is off the strip.

I just came back from staying @ The Venetian and I barely left that hotel area lol.....Tao Beach, Tao, Lavo = good times. The suite was huge too. The weird thing about the Venetian suite is that the shower and bathroom doesnt have locks on them haha.

any promotions going on at the Venetian? Whats the service charge per night?

Tao, and Lavo are the #1 clubs in vegas!

there is a reason why the bathroom n shower dosn't have locks - guess ;)

Have you seen the Las Vegas thread in the Leisure, Recreation, City Events & World Travel forum?

MGM & Luxor r both far down the strip. TI is much more middle. The middlest is Paris & Bellagio

Stayed at The Palazzo @ The Venetian couple of months ago. It is HUGE, and front desk gave us really nice coupons (50 dollar off LAVO, 50 dollars of free slot play, etc...). I stayed at the MGM a couple of years ago and The Palazzo absolutely destroys it. It's twice as big as MGM, and it even has a LCD screen in the bathroom. Not to mention you get free VIP entrance for Tao Beach, Tao and LAVO. Also if you have cheap ass friends, you can sleep an extra 3 people comfortably in the living room.

I only payed 460 bucks for 4 days/3 inghts too (airfare + hotel + driving), though I had to drive to SeaTac airport for this.

If I had to pick, I'd stay at the Bellagio for sure

bellagio

Wetordry 08-18-2009 03:31 PM

stay @ wynn party only at XS

Tons of deals for hotels in Vegas; http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/travel-deals/704925/

BlackV62K2 08-18-2009 03:51 PM

XS is sick. Best looking club I've been to. If you're going with a group of guys, I highly recommend getting bottle service. Sat night I was at XS and I heard the regular line was like 2-3 hour wait. I know some clubs have a seperate line for girls.

They're both the same hotel.....kinda like Wynn & Encore. Palazzo is newer. I stayed in Venetian and it was pretty balling. The room rates should be roughly the same. We had a few girls staying at Palazzo that came to our room and they said that ours was a bit better. I think between those 2, it shouldnt really matter. You get access to the same things and honestly you are barely in your room lol.

Not really racist! 08-18-2009 04:15 PM

bellagio fosho

i'd stay in a hotel somewhere in the middle of the strip, i wouldn't give a shit if it's not high class because you're in vegas to party. you're not really gonna be in your hotel unless you plan on sleeping but i'd stay at TI since it's near everything

Bingo!!! I only go to Vegas to gamble and shop - maybe hit the gun range and watch a few shows. I sleep a max of 4hrs/night when I'm there.

Not that I'm so old, just not into clubbing anymore.

Cheap, clean, central = Bally's. $330CDN 6 days/5 nights, air/hotel/taxes from Bellingham.

I'll be at the poker room in Caesar's, Bellagio and Venetian in late Sept. if anyone wants to say hi. lol

To the OP - look at a map of the strip to help you decide.

Bellagio
or
Luxor

I stayed at planet hollywood, near the top floor. It's pretty nice just over priced (like everything in vegas)

winson604 08-18-2009 06:23 PM

If I was only able to choose from those then TI hands down. Better location and just better hotel overall.

I think MGM is ok, not too far. But the Luxor is just wayyyy too far. Don't consider that unless you have a rental car.

nice map, but I'm sure you know that it is not an accurate portrayal of the distances between those hotels. to walk from one hotel to the next is roughly a half kilometre, haha.

I would also recommend Planet Hollywood. I haven't stayed there myself, but friends have and they say it's right up there w/ other 4star hotels mentioned.
