looking for a suit locally.....HELP!!

The last suit ive owned was one i bought for grad years ago.
Now im looking for another one.

Ive done a little shopping around and noticed that prices can range anywhere from $300- $5000, or whatever it is that it goes up to.
I dont need anything super super fancy.
Looking to spend about $1000 or less depending on what that brand/stores have to offer/guarantee.

I was at Hugo Boss today trying on a few different styles around the $1000 mark.
What caught my attention about buying a suit from them is that theyll tailor it for me for life. Meaning if i need to bring the seams in or out later on, they will still do it for me at no charge. They also guarantee that if i rip the jacket or pants, they will repair or replace it.

To me $1000 on a suit is a little steep since i dont need to wear one often. But after the sales rep at Boss told me that for $1000 all the above "guarantees" are included, then its somewhat worth the money. Since if i buy one at say, Mexx, i would have to pay more for tailoring, and pay again if i needed to alter something else down the road.

So basically my question is, is it "worth it" to buy at Hugo Boss, or are there others that are comparable in terms of pricing, quality, whats offered, and the guarantee replacement/repairs.

Thanks.
Please respond with serious answers.
And im looking to buy locally. Not online or in the states.
