Where these found in Richmond? you're right, they are absolutely useless.

What does it do? Stop people from hitting into that sign?

Those real islands found all over in Vancouver are so useless. I've never seen the point of them. If they removed that island along Cambie, that's one whole extra lane they could have used. Same with Kingsway. Pisses the shit out of me when I'm trying to go to places and I can only turn one way because of Islands. Most useless idea ever.

if this is where i think it is
heading downwards, these island are located before a 3 or 4 way stop right beside a school on a curb, so i guess its there to raise caution.

we should kidnap whoever the hell decided to waste taxpayers' money on this shit and have a barbecue by the curb there when it snows, and together we can count how many poor ppl getting fucked over that when the snow covers it. then he'll feel stupid. and we will deny him his bbq meat privileges after

Chopstickdamus bets in 1 month they'll hire a whole crew of 10 ppl getting paid 55.75/hr with benefits to plant a damm flower in the center of that thing, which will take 2 months full time to complete

dude, im 100% with you on this one...
you do know these was built not long ago, but there are few old ones further down by the school... i've seen people got caught and spun out during the winter..

with so many hills in that area, that's the only place i've seen that piece of crap
