Shaw digital box issue?

Anyone have this issue with their shaw digital box (it was the first box they ever released, the motorola one)

lately(well for about 6months) on the digital channels (i think they're all digital now as the problem happens on all the channels used to only happen on channels other than basic tv) the audio will make weird noises and make my speakers Bzz & POP just for a split second

kind of like when an audio stream switches and your home theatre speakers pop (actually exactly like that)

its really annoying and im afraid they're gonna blow my speakers, do any of you have that issue?

i can't imagine that its the boxes fault but shaws fault, i dont notice it with my other box although i hardly use that one

and i dont want to go out and get a new box if it happens on all of them

check in the audio setup that the output is set properly, that might help
settings -> setup -> audio setup -> audio output

if not, reseat the coaxial cable and power cycle the digital terminal. if you're still having the same problem, call technical support and they'll try to reset the terminal and book a technician if the problem is still occurring

but in my opinion.. it sounds like it's an issue with the terminal =/

I've got the same problem with mine, it's the original Motorola digital box. It only started after I had the HD box activated for the LCD TV. The picture also occasionally pixelates and freezes for a second.

A tech is coming over next week to have a look at it but from the sounds of it, the original box is having troubles handling the feed. Wonder if they'll give me a deal on a new box.
