LCD/Plasma Help

I'm in the market for a HDTV and I'm pretty much set on getting a plasma since the TV is mostly for gaming (PS3). So yesterday I went to BestBuy to check out the TVs and I find something strange. Plasmas are supposed to have a higher refresh rate than LCDs. But when I was comparing the Plasma (480Hz) & LCD (120Hz) side by side, the LCD is noticeably less blurry when displaying fast moving objects. I though it is suppose to be the other way around. Am I seeing things or am I missing something. Experts please help

I'm by no means an expert when it comes to HDTV's and shiet but I have a Sharp Aqous and it's pretty sweet. i mainly use it for movies and gaming and have been totally satisfied so far.

It depends on which plasma you're looking at.

Old generation plasma were known to actually be worse for gaming.

Anything new and 1080P should be good. I'd only go with Panasonic (or Pioneer) if I were buying Plasma.

I was actually looking at a 46" Panasonic Viera since i heard they are good. But yea, it seems to be more blurry & dim compare to the LCD next to it.

TV's at BB and FS are never set up properly. Go with a high end Panasonic you will never regret it.
If you are willing to order from the states get on this deal. the best TV out there period.

I picked up a 46 inch Panasonic 1080P Plasma for $999 from BB. Toshiba is not known for PQ when it comes to TV's.
Alo burn in nas not been a issue with name brand Plasma TV's.

dollar for dollar, well it would depend on the viewing distance but normally I'd take the 52 is they're both Samsung. But for the bit more I would definitely get a 55" LED TV. I think I'd rig a thing to play the sound of angels singing and glow a white halo behind it for a few seconds everytime I turn it on.
