Finally boarding our YVR-NRT-HKG plane

One of MANY Asahi's on the plane (and on my trip)

Waiting for the connecting flight in Tokyo... had a bowl of tempura udon

While watching MJ on the big screen

Finally made it to HKG (Chek Lap Kok Int'l Airport)

After checking in to our hotel, we went straight to a karaoke bar and got shitfaced. Couldn't even light a cigarette correctly

Anti-hunger device: BBQ roast duck on rice

Anti-jetlag device: Iced mocha

This typhoon messed up our trip hahaha

Interior facade of the World Trade Centre mall

Shanghai restaurant at Lee Gardens (awesome siu long bao)

Awesome dessert! Mango with sweet tofu and black jelly

Inside Alexandra House

Central MTR station

HK street scene

Where I spent most of my time and money - Emporio Armani flagship at Chater House

HK Trade and Convention Centre

The Puma Black Store inside IFC mall

IFC One and IFC Two

Louis Vuitton flagship in Central

Best food ever!!! Dai ga lok~

So here we are on our last city! Turned out to be my favorite of the three.

Fukk you, Tokyo rail system!

Scene outside our hotel in Shinjuku

Inside that store, they have every camera and lens you can imagine! This was especially gangster.

First meal in Tokyo - assorted izakaya and fresh tomato with salt and Japanese mayo

Fried tofu

Horse sashimi

Chillin back at the hotel... went to the 45th floor for some drinks

Awesome view

Next day - took the JR line to Omotesando/Aoyama for some serious shopping (think of Rodeo Drive)

Commes des Garcons flagship store in Aoyama

PRADA flagship store

BAPE Exclusive

BAPE'd out

Short walk to Shibuya... and in to another BAPE store!

These condom stores are everywhere!

LV

Ferrari 612

Modded Ruckus!

C63 AMG Wagon! SICK

Late-nite ramen + fried rice + gyoza + Asahi = $20! Not bad at all

On the way back to the hotel, I spotted this sick FD

Vending machines

I ROR'd

View from our hotel room - Tokyo Metropolitan Building

Fire hydrants outside our hotel

On the way to Sensoji Temple (largest and oldest in the Tokyo area)

Can finally see the entrance

Finally!

Tie your wishes

Before entering, you must wash both hands and your mouth at these fountains

Lighting incense

Offering prayers and donations (throw your money/coins into the large pit)

Standing guard

Selling traditional wares

I chuckled at this... R32 = domestic, Charger = import

Rickshaws

Alfa Romeo

Asahi headquarters
Tall golden building symbolizes a bottle of Asahi
Short black building symbolizes a cup with beer froth

Time to get wasted at 1:30pm!
Beer tasting... with full-size beers! =9
These were the first 5...
Front L-R:
Asahi Super Dry (available globally)
Asahi Premium Draft (available in Japan only)
Asahi River Pier (available in Asahi HQ only)
Rear L-R:
Asahi Alto Brown Azumabashi "Azure" (available in Tokyo only)
Asahi No Toki Premium beer (available in Asahi HQ only)

Not done yet, here is number 6! They definitely saved the best for last!!! Hands down my favorite.
Asahi Chocolate Porter (available in Asahi HQ only)

Drunk and hot, we decided to visit the Imperial Palace back in Ginza

Administrative building

Music hall built for the Empress' 60th birthday

Dojon base - samurai armory was burned down; this is the platform it stood on

Just outside the Palace... Fiat 500 ABARTH Edition!

Tokyo PD is hooked up! They roll in Lexus LS460's.

Chillin at Ginza

GODZIRRA~

Swarovski Ginza

Ginza by night

Hit up the Nissan Gallery in the middle of Ginza...

No GT-R! Just this ugly Cube

With a wheelchair crane

WAKO Department store - the heart of Ginza

Pearl white Ferrari F430 Sypder with burgundy soft top... now THAT is gangsta

A few moments later - Ferrari F360

GODZIRRA again!!!

Huge saltwater aquarium outside the Sony Building

Figuring out the subway is so easy

Finally arrived at our authentic tempura dinner at the Tokyo Dome Hotel

Tofu with sesame jelly

About to be cooked (L-R):
Pike eel
Uni (sea urchin)
"Fu" bread
Mushrooms
Asparagus
Scallops
Japanese kiss
Ebi (prawns)

"Fu" bread with Kyoto-style black beans

Tempura uni wrapped in seaweed

Scallops (rare inside) dipped in Kyoto salt and pepper and dashed with fresh lemon juice

Sushi rice with seaweed in green tea
Chopped tempura prawns and scallops (mix in with the rice and tea)
Kyoto-style preserved vegetables
Miso soup with Manila clam

Lemon sorbet
Fresh fruits
Green tea jelly
STUNNING dinner. Absolutely amazing. Worth the $150 per person!!!

Went back to the hotel for a little nap... this is the lobby

Then went clubbing till 5am

Slept, then had breakfast at 4pm!

Kimono + Prada glasses + fedora = Definitely yakuza.

Bawlin'

Had a Mos Burger for lunch

Then hit up BAPE Kids in Harajuku

Tight ass parking spot for a classic Benz!

Funniest slogan ever

JR station at Shinjuku

Then we had an authentic teppanyaki dinner near the government buildings... 50-something floors up in our private room!

HUGGEEEE prawns and scallops

A trip to Japan would not be complete without a taste of Kobe steak. This is more than a "taste" hahaha

Cubed Kobe steak with toasted garlic slivers and potato wedges. Absolutely mouthwatering.

Dessert was creme brulee. Dinner was worth the $600!

On the way to Odaiba/Tokyo Bay

G'd out Estima

G'd out Odyssey

Gundam

This thing was huge

Standing guard over Tokyo

Then we took a cab to Super Autobacs!!!
For sale: Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution Edition for only $12,800!

Super Autobacs spy shots - In-car video section

Super Autobacs spy shots - BRIDE and Recaro wall

Super Autobacs spy shots - Spoon, Nardi, and MOMO wheels

Super Autobacs spy shots - Rim wall

Super Autobacs spy shots - Honda wall (Spoon, Mugen, J's Racing parts & accessories)

Parked outside - 4dr R34

Also parked outside - Civic Type-R FD2 without a wing! Looked soooo damn clean

On the way to the train station - spotted an NSX!

Last meal in Tokyo - Katsu-don, udon, and Yevisu beer

Vancouver from the sky!

-END-

Nice shots! Where was that gundam in Tokyo? Going in Oct and I'd love to see it, lol. Wouldn't that be cool if that thing actually worked. Last line of defense kinda thing.

^ Thanks!

Gundam is in Odaiba (Tokyo Bay), about 30 minutes by monorail from Ginza. It's far, but you get to see Super Autobacs too!

Unfortunately, Gundam is a temporary exhibit for this summer only. It will be taken down soon. And yes, at night there is a laser show with steam and lights. I don't know if he actually moves though.

Looks like you had a lot of fun! I love Kobe steak, it's soooo goood!

Dang, I thought the Gundam statue might be a permanent structure, I might be going in October and would've loved to have seen it. I'll need to check-out Super Autobacs though, never got to see it the last time I was in Tokyo.

Thanks for sharing!
