are 2003 G35 not the best year to get? I've done some reading and it seems that the 2005+ are the best in terms of auto.

Its because i found a few 2003 models that have low mileage (under 50k). If the 2003 and newer models don't have much of a difference, is it save to go with the 2003?

well for the auto. i don't know if there's much of a difference.

for the 03's just be wary of the tire problem.

also the 05-06's look nicer both exterior and interior.

you can definitely get a 03 if that doesn't matter to you.

03-04 had camber wear on the tires, cheaper /uglier interior

no projectors

05-06 looks slightly different, more power

05 looks the same... 06~07 looks different.
for the Rev-up (05~07 6speed) motor they have more hp but less tq.
05 is kinda of in between.
Same exterior as the 03~04 but interior of a 06~07.
They started with the 19" Rays forged wheels from 05 on the sport version and stopped giving them the Brembo brakes.
But those Brembo ain't so good on the track any ways.
The car is too heavy for them.

from turbo charged widebody G, to Rota replica wheels ? how do you go from 30 thousand dollar projects to replica wheels that cost a few hundred bucks ?? I know when you buy your first car of a certain model and you don't know where to begin with mods, but damn homie...

I wanna help you so I sent you a pm telling you go check out http://g35driver.com/forums to save yourself a lot of hassle and to get you in the right direction if you're serious about modifying

I personally did a few months of research about the car and what's nice looking and what's ugly before I started modding, and I did it on G35driver.com which is the best place for all your answers, and it's where you should go immediately

quick example of what your G might end up like if you begin to mod without knowing what you really want... (this red one for example, highly modified, Supercharged, 10's of thousands of dollars invested but he gets clowned every time he posts pictures, horrible taste when it comes to modifying exterior)

and here's what it can look like if you research your shit and figure it all out before you pay for ugly and get clowned by the community

[IMGhttp://farm3.static.flickr.com/2667/3914492644_9138ac7a4e_o.jpg[/IMG]

and last piece of advice would be in a lot of cases, less is more.... especially if you're not familiar with modifying a particular model of vehicle, take this 350z for example, all he has is wheels, front lip and it's lowered but it looks more gangster than almost all the other the highly modified 350's on my350z.com

^ only a small percentage of 2006 year VQ engines have the oil burning issue, and not years 2003 all through to 2007 like you're implying

in any case even if you happen to get it, the good news is that it's an official Infiniti TSB so the dealership will replace the whole engine and give you a brand new one.

ok so i think i know what mods im gonna get...first of all its gonna be a white g35

-lowered with HR sport springs
-BBS lemans wheels with red bbs wheel cap of course (link here) http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/pro...oducts_id=5857
-window tint
-side markers
-possible rear bumper CF diffuser
-kuruma front bumper
-impul sides
-possibly brembos but they're out of my budget...i see some g35s that come with stock brembos though.

Does anyone know how much it would cost to get the kuruma front and impul sides painted+installed? Thanks a bunchhhh
