75% of British Columbians won't vote for Campbell again: poll Angus Reid poll says B.C. would prefer NDP government in 2013 VANCOUVER — Three quarters of British Columbians don’t want Premier Gordon Campbell to run for a fourth term and most would prefer an NDP government in 2013, a recent Angus Reid Strategies poll suggests. According to the online poll, if a provincial election had been held Saturday, the NDP would have received 45 per cent of the vote, the Liberals 31 per cent, the Green party 11 per cent, and the Conservatives seven per cent. Only about half of those who said they like the provincial Liberals said they felt the same way about Campbell. “Over the last three months 71 per cent of British Columbians report that their opinion of Gordon Campbell has worsened,” Angus Reid said in its analysis. The poll follows the Sept. 1 announcement that the provincial deficit for 2009-10 will hit $2.8 billion and that the province will be in the red for the next four years. Despite the more positive numbers for the NDP, the same could not be said about the popularity of party leader Carole James. Only about one-third of those polled approved of her performance. “In the last three months, 19 per cent report a worsening opinion of James, while 14 per cent say their view has improved. The majority (59 per cent), report no change,” Angus Reid said. Angus Reid polled 783 B.C. adults from Sept. 1 to Sept 3. The error margin was 3.5 percentage points, 19 out of 20. gwood@vancouversun.com |
By the time the next election rolls around most ppl will forget the shit campbell did which will lead to another liberal majority... The only hope the NDP has is if they change leadership. |
you have to be fucked up in the head if your voting for him again http://couragemyfriends.files.wordpr...ested_dui2.jpg |
chinese people will vote for him |
If Carole James is still the leader of the NDP, then I will be voting for Gordo again. I'd rather kill myself than give Carole James a vote. |

I'll take a drunk driver over the NDP any day |
haha shit, we're still fucked either way |
VOTE LIBERAL... just not gordon campbell! enough public pressure could push the party to push him out! either that or leave a trail of alcohol away from the rallies, and anything related to the party... |

Think again. then again, NDP is A LOT worse than a drunk driver who lies. That's how bad they fucked up years ago |
i just wish there was someone worth voting for... there were a lot of people who didn't vote last time around. i can't recall the figures but the turnout was really low :( |

This is the downside of any party in power during a recession, they get all the blame. Once the economy turns around so will voters. |

If that makes me no better than those who didn't vote Obama because he was black then so be it, yes I am making this personal, plus I really don't have too much of an issue with most Liberal policies. |

Even if you should, people feel like, pick the least idiotic, hard to vote, can't be good either way. So the turn out is less. ! |
I always viewed politics and voting in the sense that you're not necessarily trying to vote someone into office rather, you are trying to keep someone out. Like carole james.... |

I don't think Gordo gives a shit about 2013. He wanted to be in power during the Olympics which he is and I bet he'll go Federal if he isn't reelected in 2013. He'll actually be a good candidate for the Conservative party if the Conservative’s want to make ground in metro Vancouver. |

just remember what the NDP did to this province... this province was brought back from the brink of disaster by the BC Liberal Party... And I couldn't think of a worse thing than giving the NDP another chance to destroy how well this province has and is doing relatively speaking... Remember in a recession tax revenue decreases and unless you want the government to start slashing and burning everything there is going to be a deficit. Also have a quick look at all the provinces that the NDP has destroyed over the years... its not just BC... |
