alpine deck sound cutting out CDA-9886 hey guys do u haves have this issue with your decks or know a fix your drving along and the music cut out on all door speakers but your subwoofer is still pounding. it cuts out randomly it doesn't matter if your on the radio or ipod or cd. some more info. the deck is powering 4 speakers and got a mono amp powering 1 sub |
sounds like one of your speaker wires are grounding out, which would cause the internal amp on your deck to cut out and thats why you only hear the sub playing at times. |

but its all the speakers cutting out |
i wouldnt say its all the speakers it could easily just be one speaker grounding out and shutting the amp down which would make all the speakers cut out. what i would do is pull the deck out and see if any of the wires are touching one and other, if they all look fine i would then check the impedance of each speaker to see if just maybe one of them are blown (which could also cause the amp to shut down). diagnosing electronic problems can take alot of time and is somewhat frustrating. you might want to contact one of the sponsors on revscene, i know they wouldnt mind diagnosing the problem. |
thanks just wanna say thanks. turns out one of the speaker was not working in the back. one of the wires were grounding out. thanks again =) |
