your drving along and the music cut out on all door speakers but your subwoofer is still pounding. it cuts out randomly
it doesn't matter if your on the radio or ipod or cd.

sounds like one of your speaker wires are grounding out, which would cause the internal amp on your deck to cut out and thats why you only hear the sub playing at times.

i wouldnt say its all the speakers it could easily just be one speaker grounding out and shutting the amp down which would make all the speakers cut out. what i would do is pull the deck out and see if any of the wires are touching one and other, if they all look fine i would then check the impedance of each speaker to see if just maybe one of them are blown (which could also cause the amp to shut down). diagnosing electronic problems can take alot of time and is somewhat frustrating. you might want to contact one of the sponsors on revscene, i know they wouldnt mind diagnosing the problem.
