There was once a time where every sport was played by professionals, professionally.. it wasn't about the money but about the love of the game.
I don't know, I just don't see that anymore in athletes and stupid bitch needs to grow up a little. The judge is human too.

I'm not saying she didn't deserve to be ejected. It's against the rules to yell at the judges. I just think it's a line that has to be drawn.
And regardless of whether they are following the rules, I still hate people like that line judge.

Clearly, the line was crossed.
Why the hate? They are doing their job.
People fee bad for that line judge, but so many people hate Serena. Poor sportsmanship and everytime she loses, she says she plays bad. She was clearly outplayed by Kim Clisjters who has only played in 3 tournaments since coming back from a 2 year absense having a child. Quote:

Especially short, fat women for some reason. Usually they have red faces too, which is extra aggravating. They are the type who get taunted in school every day, then end up in a position of authority so they can cause the same frustration to others.

From watching tsn highlights, after the foot foul call it was match point. The penalty was a point awarded to the other player, hence why williams lost.
So, it wasn't a disqualification. But i guess this is mere technicality .

the line judge was CALLED OVER by the umpire TWICE, to explain what Serena had said. If you watch the umpire after the line judge spoke to her the first time, you could clearly see that the umpire waved the other two guys over for an assessment on the situation.
Then the umpire turned around and called the line judge back to explain again what was said.
It's all about details, buddy. Observe before you jump to conclusion (that is wrong)

Damn ugly hoes that go on powertrips. I had to dealt with one recently (she wasn't short, but fat and ugly).
Personally, I don't like the judge at all. She seems like one of those "teachers pet" people.
But I do have to disagree with you on one thing though, Serena did faulted, and the line judge was just doing her job. It was Serena's fault for a) having her foot on the line and b) going all crazy.
PS. serena is a butch! . . . kinda turns me off.

As an official who officiates other sports (not tennis), the better officials are the ones who know how to be invisible and not determine the outcome of a match. I'm sure you've all heard about the best NHL referees being the ones who try to call it fair for both sides, but who don't affect the outcome of the game. For example, in a 3-3 tie late in the 3rd period in a playoff game, the better refs won't call a marginal penalty, because it could affect the outcome of the game. As they say, "let the players determine the outcome of the game."
In volleyball, you're not allowed to touch the net, but in a close match, marginal net calls (where the player barely touches the net) are often overlooked, as long as it doesn't affect the play.
Whether or not Serena stepped on the line or not (she did, but BARELY), you wouldn't call that because even though it is against the rules, the foot fault call wouldn't affect the outcome of the match, especially when it didn't give Serena a real advantage. So what if she stepped a millimetre over the line? A better and more experienced line judge who understands the flow of a match and the importance of a US Open Semi-final where the score is 6-5 would have ignored the fault and let them play. Now, if Serena had a whole foot over, the story would be different.
Regardless, it was still pretty douchy of Serena to drop f-bombs in front of that many people in the crowd and all the people watching on TV, and to even threaten the line judge. I would have went ballistic too, but there's a line that a professional can't cross. even John McEnroe, who blew up in so many matches in his career never crossed the line that Serena did last night.

That is out job and in our training it is explained explicitly.
Maybe in team sports its different like you mentioned volleyball and hockey and what not, but tennis has a strict set of rules of officiating.
I got grilled at Vanopen a few times, i but i didnt give a shit. they make a mistake, i make a call - its as simple as that.

And her $10K fine is absolutely meaningless.
Supposedly she makes over $20M per year.
That's like 0.0005% of her income.
So that's equivalent for someone that makes $50K per year to be fined $25.
