Truenosan 09-13-2009 10:43 PM

What did you buff on though? Just wax? Other then using it to buff wax, it is pure crap.

That money could be better spent on a slot machine.

nabs 09-13-2009 10:51 PM

i have one too they work great.

pandalove 09-14-2009 12:53 AM

i was trying to polish with it ... didn't work :(
it was virbrating like crazy
i thot it was broken

604_Snooze 09-14-2009 01:04 AM

3 Step. Cleaner, Polish & Wax.

bcty 09-14-2009 02:25 PM

3 step with it should be fine, asumeing your talking about the mothers 3 step thing. It's still junk though :)

ilvtofu 09-14-2009 05:03 PM

Damn, everyone flamed me for wanting one, but if great68 says its okay i'm willing to give it a try ;)

Meh, I've been using one for 5 years and it beats polishing by hand.

doesn't the massive vibration bother u guys ?

Truenosan 09-14-2009 09:11 PM

The Simonz polisher is really only good for applying stuff, that is absolutely it. It won't do jack all for paint correction, or even applying a simple glaze. If you just want to use it to apply anything because you don't want to do it by hand, then go for it. But that money could seriously be spent better elsewhere. The thing is so unstable.

I'm not saying those shots don't look good and all. But you can't even see the paint's finish. I could make the car shine from that angle by just applying hand glaze.

that is true, with that angle any car with a decent wash will look shiny under the sun

So it's decent for waxing? I'm way too lazy and a $25 tool is something I won't mind paying for

It isn't too bad for waxing, but in my experience with it, I'd much rather do it by hand as the thing is seriously far from stable.

Hope i don't get flamed for this ;)
How are mothers powerballs?
I found one or something similar in my garage >.<

haa i saw that too...curious how the reviews are

since it aint expensive like some polishing machines...$200 +

Truenosan 10-08-2009 09:34 PM

I personally do not like the Mothers Powerball either. Not really effective for a whole car as the power drill's battery would be long dead before hand.

ilvtofu 10-08-2009 09:59 PM

battery otherwise?

Truenosan 10-09-2009 07:45 PM

With the powerball, it is hard to apply even pressure with it. Not to mention, stuff splatters. :p
