Detailed: Filthy Mazda 3 (Picture Intensive)

This was a detail I did for a family friend. He brought the car over in the morning, I didn't really take a look at it till I was about to start. I had no idea it was this bad. Regardless though I'm thrilled about the turn around. The wheels definitely far from perfect but I did what I could with it. This is a company car and the company will be selling it soon so thats why he brought it over. Anyways I'll let the pictures speak as usual.

604_Snooze 09-14-2009 12:14 AM

how many hours did the interior and exterior take you?

BrendanS 09-14-2009 12:17 AM

started around 8:15AM finished at about 5:20PM

604_Snooze 09-14-2009 12:35 AM

um....9 hours....I guess the interior and window took you 3 hours, wash, wheels and engine took you 3 hours, clay and tailpipe took you another 2 hours, collinte 845 took you an hour, 1 hour to eat lunch and break.

ecchiecchi 09-14-2009 01:11 AM

wanna clean my car? ahahah

no...not really lol. The wheel wells and engine bay took a good two and a half hours though. Waxing with 845 doesn't take long at all. I wax the entire car including windows and all, let it sit. Put all the stuff back inside. Then buff it off. Thats the best thing about 845, I didn't even know you can do that till Ken told me.

Thanks Ken! I'm sure you get way worse trucks since you said you detail more trucks then cars, it must be fun when you get a construction truck:cry:

Freaking awesome job! Holy crap, that was a lot of dirt stuck to the wheel wells!
What did you use to blast the dirt out?

thanks! Definitely was, it's pretty much the reason I got into detailing. I can't stand a filthy car

shenmecar 09-14-2009 02:10 PM

That's a good tool, a pressure washer. I can never get all the dried dirt and mud out from my dad's wheel wells. Try as hard as I might with a garden hose. =(

!Yaminashi 09-14-2009 02:12 PM

Nice work again man!

Go to those self serve car washes with the pressure washer wands (like the one on Royal Oak by the skytrain).
