F*ing potholes, rim bent, shops?

So i bent one of my rims this morning when traveling on westminster, completely oblivious when i hit it. Fuck.

So which shops repair rims in Richmond? Rates?

!Aznboi128 09-14-2009 11:04 PM

"greens"

godwin 09-14-2009 11:14 PM

pather, nubrite, use the search.. price varies from $150 - $200 bucks

You didn't specify what kind of rims you have, honestly unless your rims is >$300 used, it is cheaper just get a spare one. Most OE rims are cheap especially on ebay / carpart.

greens...

C-unit 09-14-2009 11:45 PM

You can file a claim on that and the city will pay it out for the repair/replacement.

mmmk 09-15-2009 12:04 AM

been to both greens and nu brite....but i suggest nu brite over greens

illicitstylz 09-15-2009 12:24 AM

new westminster has those exposed manholes on the right lane if you're headed eastbound, absolutely terrible, almost bent my rims doing the same thing.

TRDood 09-15-2009 12:44 AM

nu brite repaired my lip that had a chunk missing, and the colour matched 99%!

i was amazed.

silk 09-15-2009 01:18 AM

theres this one part that "hit me" by surprise, just a big ass hole in the ground, you can barely see it until its too late, so watch your asses guys (this was in the right lane when heading east)

thumper 09-15-2009 06:25 AM

Shun Izaki 09-16-2009 04:01 AM

i got a similar question, shitload of chips on my hyper gold RGII's, but i don't wanna lose the awesome sticker that's on it that says ADVAN RGII... is there any place you can get wheel stickers? or am i fucked?

thumper 09-16-2009 06:06 AM

get them made or order the stickers from advan thru some shop. on occasion i see someone on ebay selling either fake or real stickers too.

illicitstylz 09-16-2009 03:22 PM

FUCKING NEW WESTMINSTER

it's already got the exposed manholes. now part of it is paved with new cement but where it ends and meets the old road, there's a 2inch drop and even though i slowed down as soon as i saw it, it hit my suspension hard as i heard it scrape my exhaust (i'm only lowered like 1.5") and now my rear axle squeaks whenever it goes over a bump in the road.. WHAT THE FUCK

Marco911 09-16-2009 06:25 PM

I shipped my Porsche over to the East Coast and I've been driving all around New York and Boston. You ain't seen pot-holes till you drive out here!! A pothole somewhere in manhattan swallowed my Porsche! Luckily 911s are tough little suckers.

hk20000 09-16-2009 06:45 PM

hahaha it's like....Liberty City in GTA. car sucking potholes everywhere.

hole is pretty massive, you can fit two children's (age 10) heads in it
i'm running 17inch rims with 205/40/17 tires,

i called city hall and was like "wtf guys?" and the person from their "Law office" is supposed to call me back to tell me who is going to be responsible exactly (either contractors or the city). After that I need to write them a letter explaning my situation.

maxxxboost 09-17-2009 12:49 AM

What type of rims are they?

You should go take pictures of the potholes and everything. I don't think it's going to be that easy to get your money back from them.

Hope for the best. Good luck.
