Hardtop Cover

Hi.

I heard you can get fined or something if you open/close your automatic hardtop during a red stop light...?

Is there some rule or law that states the explicit use of the hardtop?

Attomatic hardtop? Don't know what you mean. Nothing in the MV Act/Regs prohibits the raising or lowering of a convertable roof.

Well, I've seen people get pulled over for opening their car convertible rooftop at a stop light.

Maybe distracting other drivers or something? Or am I just making this up...??

1) Nope. Not unless they obstructed traffic or something. If they are stopped, take belt off and do the roof thing without causeing problems, are back in the vehicle, seated & buckled when the light turns green, there in no law broken that I know of. What were they charged with or warned about? 2) Yep, possibly trolling?
