| Brakes locking up on my accord
After a bodyshop replaced the passenger side dash, my breaks lock up. My pedal is too hard to press. When i got home my passenger side brakes where smoking from being rubbed too long. I took it for a spin again it doesnt seem to be locking up again, but the rim is real hot,seems like the pads are still rubbing slightly but i cant feel it.its an 2003 honda accord

bodyshop replaced the side dash? how so?
what exactly did they do?
I'll go to a mechanic and get it checked out.
when you drive did you notice that the car is pulling to the right?

car may have sat for too long and just happened to seize ur caliper.
bad timing i guess, 03 coupe, its possible, especially if ur car parks outside quite a bit.

How do i know if my caliper is seized? my brakes locked up only once and it was smoking. Now its fine ive been driving it around.

your brakes had locked up, it might still be but now the pads are be worn so that it is not contacting anymore.
If you don't know what you are doing, you should go to a brake shop and have them take a look.

Well they usually sieze for 2 reasons:
-Sliders not maintained/greased or boot torn allowing rust to form
-Torn piston boot/seal, locking up the piston
Old/contaminated fluid also holds moisture that can seize the piston from the inside.
