2011 Lexus LF-A Spy Photos: 2011 Lexus LF-A Uncamouflaged After all these years, the official unveiling of the production 2011 Lexus LF-A is scheduled for next month's Tokyo Auto Show. We've already driven the race version of the LF-A at Goodwood, and the production version is said to be very close to that car. This week, spy photographers caught up with a near production-ready Lexus LF-A prototype almost completely free of camouflage. This is the first time that the LF-A's revised front air-intake design has been seen uncovered. The final shape of the finessed side intake is also more apparent on this clean, white prototype. Finally, if you could remove the white tape from around the taillights, and you'd be able to see the final shape of the LF-A's rear-end, replete with fully-trimmed rear exhaust vents and diffuser. Details on the LF-A remain few. We can only tell you that it's built around a carbon-fiber chassis, carries the 4.8-liter 1LR-GEU V10 rated at around 550 hp, and features a six-speed automated manual transaxle. Also, it's heavier than you might think, as Lexus admitted the LF-A racecar weighed 3,300 pounds. The LF-A will probably reach low-volume production sometime in 2010 (probably) and likely command a $400,000 price tag. http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightlin...a-f34-blog.jpg http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightlin...ofile-blog.jpg http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightlin...a-r34-blog.jpg |

Interesting. Really not liking that air scoop between the B and C pillars. Looks like a tacky, Timpo-style bodykit add-on. Other than that, I'm kinda digging it. |
Headlights look kinda boring. Other than that, I'm kinda digging it. |
I like this. I think this is the first Japanese car to kinda enter the pricing of the exotic market. I wonder how it ll do, but I hope it ll do well, then perhaps other Japanese car manufacturers can follow. I am looking at you Infiniti. |
if they had more lines and black to balance the side, this would def. be the nicest looking japanese car out there 8D |
Nut buying its |

Nice car! finally something fun from Toyota! I can't wait to see it in Richmond! But $400K is a bit too much... $200K is more reasonable. Hope Honda (Advance sports car?) and Mazda (Furai :P) will bring out something crazy soon. |
If Toyota needs to charge $400K for a "halo" car, in which maximum profits are not the primary motivation, can you imagine how advanced this car will be? Carbon Fiber Chassis....outside the Enzo/Carrera GT/Pagani, how many cars are using CF chassis? if it going to weigh more than 3300lbs, the chassis will be super stiff....... |
Can't wait to see the debut |

400k is Murcielago territory... with not even nearly as much presence and performance as the big bull, i don't really see how they could ask that much. |
japanese car will have no market if it is > 150k. only a die hard lexus millionare would want to buy this (and i dont think there is) |
