When I went to vietnam and china, I see people beating their kids all the time. I was like wtf? why isn't anyone doing anything. Everyone else was just stares like it's a normal occurence. But then find out that it's just the culture there.

Slapping and using the belt is very common. I got slapped and belted a few times when I was younger, but nothing as serious that I couldn't handle though.
