Why would speed matters? it is only the acceleration & deceleration that counts.
Of course unless the plane has an open cockpit (in which case the pilot has more to worry about then being able to breathe...ie. get burned into dust from the air friction.)

^ The only thing the pilot needs to worry about are the G-forces impacted upon the body.
