| Portrait Tattoo Artist Recommendations
Hello,
I know there have been several threads on tattoo artists already but none of them really answer my question..
I was wondering if anyone knew of any tattoo artists that are really good at making realistic looking custom person+animal tattoos...
I've looked at a few portfolios but most of the ones i've looked at have good protraits but their animals tend to have either a 'japanese' style or make the animal look somewhat cartoony
Any recommendations?

If you wanna go to the island Jory @ Bully Boy Tattoo is good at portraits. He used to be at Funhouse...too bad he moved.

If you want to get a portrait, make sure to find a portrait artist. Despite what someone said, you shouldn't just "do a search", you need to find the right kind of artist for what you want.

For portrait artists? I must have missed that.
Anyway OP, you might want to try asking in a Tattoo forum like www.tattoodles.com instead. I personally have no idea who the good portrait artists are in Canada (Bob Tyrrell, who is probably one of the best in the world, was just in Calgary and Edmonton last month)

Just look at portfolios and pay special attention to the straight lines they do.
