Adding aux jack for a mercedes

Posting for a friend, drives a 2008 B200
Wants to know if he can simply add an aux/ipod jack to his factory system without going OEM

That's what I told him, but the factory system is fairly capable and works fine so didn't really wanna change the OEM look etc.

Holy shit that's expensive!

P.S. I looked at the system yesterday and I couldn't find an aux butoon etc.

haha, yes, but it's a full iPod integration. You get title, etc show up in the display and can probably control it from the stereo/steering wheel so you don't have to take your eyes off the road.

If they have a tape deck on their stereo, you can hook it up old school style

LOL That's why i have to use on my Z31, but the B200 doesn't have cassette nor most newer cars

My family's GL has that oem integration, it sucks, you can only skip/rewind tracks, you can't access stuff like the artists, or playlists, and you can't do it on the ipod itself either because it'll say plugged into accessory etc.., wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
