a used sale is an AS IS sale.
just like in Ikea's as is.. you can't go bitching and complaining once you've paid for it..

Components cables aren't usually something that stop working unless they're damaged by extensive bending/pulling/chewing... Are you sure you have the switch on the plug set to HD and not TV?
