The guys probably complaining about the spot because ur blocking his view and if he has a big car(ex. a patty wagon) it makes it difficult for to make a left or right turn.. btw if its in front of his house then id say move lol, honestly i hate when people park in front of my house .. lol DONT lie if some asshole kept parking in front of ur house, making u find a new spot further away from UR house! u wold be super pisseedd |

but you are indeed too close to the 2 driveways there. Pretty sure they have a case. Don't you hate it when you pull out of your driveway you can't see shit both ways? |

My old neighborhood was packed with cars as well, and I often parked a block away and so did my neighbors. It's all first come first served. Not sure why some people here think they own the road in front of their house. |
Looks like there's quite a bit of parking available on the street. If the neighbor doesn't like you parking there, park somewhere else. Not worth causing tension between neighbors for something petty like that. On the flip side, I'm about ready to take a baseball bat to my neighbor's car. They park in front of our house (which isn't a big deal since none of us park out front - we use our garage in the back lane). The big issue is with their damn car alarm that goes off every time the bus drives by (which is every 20 minutes). I work from home, and my window faces the street and I have to listen to their alarm go off every 20 minutes for 2-3 minutes every day for 8 hours of the day... |

actually i'm pretty sure you get calls from roughly the same 200 people over and over again. god i hate those people with nothing better to do than to nitpick! ah well, the by-law is the law. i'm just bitter about some of them (ie the one i got a ticket for -- overheight vehicle BAH) |
we have the same problem in our building, people often park TOO CLOSE to our drive exit, and you can't see shit when pulling out of the driveway, and traffic nearly clips you when you poke your nose out to leave the driveway. we call bylaw if the car is there for more than a few hours, or right away if it's blocking the garbage bin from eing emptied. It's amazing how many people don't realise or just don't care.. they deserve their tow or ticket!! |

weak the guy came in an hr after i call gave the dude a warning and left  |
You are parked in between a driveway and an entrance to a complex. On Kitchener and Boundary there is also a spot that look exactly like the one in your picture. People parl there all the time. It is in between an ally and a entrance to a parking lot. Everytime someone parks there they get a ticket. The only thing I can think of is that if a larger vechicle goes into the complex in your picture, the may sometime go over the curb with their tires, and as a result, if your car was parked there they could hit it or not be able to make the turn clean. |
And i bet the note is from the complex owner c/o of the towing company. |
im not sure about other cities but in vancouver don't rely on the paint jobs on curbs/street to dictate where u can park or not, the city hasn't really maintained them in a long time and watch out for some false markings coming from residents. I know a street near w5th ave where people always get towed for being too close to the sidewalk/intersection/corner because a resident painted a yellow line on the curb where he thought the legal spot started. however, this person got it wrong and it you park up to that spot ur less than 1 meter from the intersecting sidewalk (should be 6 m away) , it confuses everyone because they think it's from the city. |
