Here is my rule of thumb...

If the majority has something to say about an individual, some of the time there is something wrong with that specific individual (unless that person is a forward thinker IE Galileo, Ghandi).

But.

If one individual has something to say about a majority of a certain subset of the population (irregardless of differencing contexts or personalities), most of the time the individual is a douche, ie racists or this guy.
