Taking the quad to the rollers

Welp tomo (wednesday) I am taking my quad to see geno in the loops to get my quad dyno tuned. Its a Suzuki ltr 450 with a stock piston and head but a custom intake with no airbox, a hotcam intake cam, powercommander 3 for fuel control, and a full yoshimura exhaust system. Guys with similair mods done to 06 and 07's usually put down 50-52hp depending on tuner. I dont really care what it puts down for numbers; although I would love to say I am on the higher end because 08's always seem to make more power, just as long as I see an improvement after a few runs. I dont have light weight tires nor rims so that wont help my numbers either.

I shall post numbers when I know.

numbers are meaningless but how much did you gain? i got 5-6hp out of just tuning basically the whole way thru the curve

Numbers are totally meaningless but they make my penis longer, haha. I put down 40hp and 29ft/lbs. I had a map downloaded from a forum and it was a total rollercoaster (afr) but it still threw down great numbers off the bat. I gained 1ft/lb after the tune and my fuel curve is much closer to straight, still needs a bit of work. My avg hp and trq went up a lil on both so that should make me faster. My quad idles much better tho that was a huge plus. The best test to see if it makes more power will be the strip again. Hopefully ill beat my 9.28 at 70mph

Edit: this was on a mustang dyno not a dyno jet and with my larger tires and heavy wheels

ya my AFR was a total rollercoaster aswell. anywhere from 9-19:1! and it spiked and dipped about 8 times thru the range. and this was a tuner uploaded map specific to my exact setup. really goes to show you how plugging in a blind chip or program can do as much harm as good.

did you get a full tune or just WOT?

Just wot tune, was a lot of learning for both of us. the ass dyno today says it pulls better down low and a lil less up top but i am also +2 teeth on the front compared to normal everyday riding so i should go better with my small front sprocket back on.
