Still for sale...

Make me a reasonable offer.

Overseas Auto1 11-21-2009 03:17 PM

nice car, must be a drummer

ayotte_dude 11-22-2009 09:51 PM

Price reflects on condition of car and eligibility for collector plates which could save thousands of dollars on insurance costs over a few years. But that's only if you're planning to go that route.

Entertaining reasonable offers.

2K's out of the question, though... I've already turned down an offer for 4K.

Taken From ICBC.

Your collector vehicle may qualify for a lower insurance premium if you have

* another licensed, non-collector vehicle, or
* a company-assigned vehicle that's used for general transportation. (This includes a vehicle insured under one of these rate classes: pleasure, to and from work, business, farm, artisan, fisherman or delivery.)

If the only vehicle you have is your collector vehicle, it may still qualify for collector plates. However, it won't qualify for the lower, collector vehicle insurance premium.

! In order to save insurance on this car ,you need to have another car insured at the regular premium. So in fact you will have to pay for 2 insurances!!!
Also on collector plates you can't drive to school or work!

You should know this if you already have collector plates!!!

Don't misinform the peeps!

I stated this information on previous posts so I'm not trying to misinform. I said it was a great way to have a 2nd car for a single car household as long as you don't drive it to school or work.

So you'll be saving thousands for your 2nd vehicle.

fokyu 11-24-2009 12:27 AM

No problem my mistake.
Did'nt read all your replies.
I thought you were trying to imply that you save thousands on insurance with this being the only insured vehicle.

No worries... Thanks for owning up, though... I appreciate it.

It's been parked for the past 3 or 4 weeks as I've been driving my newer car. It's taking up space in my garage. I love the car but have to let it go.

Well, not really. I wasn't willing to sell it at that price then. Car sales are usually slow in the winter. If it was summer the car would probably sell a lot quicker and at a higher price.
The latest price drop was because I thought there was something wrong with the alternator but it's fine. It turned out that one of the battery terminals was loose but all is good now. I'd raise the price again but don't want to hear an uproar so I'm keeping the price at $4200 for now.

Alpine50 01-09-2010 04:01 AM

i'd pick it up but i got no money :( only 2000 pretty sure thats a little below what you would wanna take.....
