Review: RC Pearl Castle

So a new pearl castle opened at richmond centre (across from McDonald)
and i was wondering if anyone else tried it! i thought the drinks weren't as good (we ordered a taro milk tea and bubble milk tea). And the service was OKAY. The lady sitting across from me was trying to get the bill for 20 minutes, but no one would help her.
To me, this place was a 6/10.
what do u think?

CRS 10-03-2009 11:26 PM

Original Pearl Castle isn't even good, what makes you think a second one will be better?

hirevtuner 10-04-2009 09:25 AM

it is opened already?
now I don't have to go to parker place for it

LemonH2O 10-04-2009 10:38 AM

We tried to go there Friday night, they close at 11, so when we got here at 10:30, they said the kitchen was closed, drinks only.

ilvtofu 10-04-2009 11:17 AM

Well it's convenient since parking lot has tons of parking at night and it's about time RC got a bbt place

chipmunk604 10-04-2009 02:15 PM

there is a pearl castle in Poco. looks like its closed down after 1 year.

Alphamale 10-04-2009 02:18 PM

I'm not sure why people expect "service" from these twanger joints. They're notorious for not giving a fuck.

he knows it all..
Haha, are the prices the same?

i think so lmao
don't understand why it would be different if it's the same place :S

freakshow 10-05-2009 04:40 PM

PC @ RC is a franchise, not a corporate store, so it's more possible that they would differ more in terms of food and drinks.
I went there yesterday and it seemed to be a fairly faithful replication of the other Richmond one..

Did PC in poco really close down? I thought it was reno

CP.AR 10-05-2009 06:52 PM

^ "closed for renovation" translates into Chinese for "NO BUSINESS GOOD BYE, RENOVATION FOR NEXT TENANT"

unless, it specifies a date when they are expected to re-open

G 10-05-2009 07:11 PM

^LoL, so whos the next tenant?

I think its more likely "closed for kitchen clean up" from health department.

hirevtuner 10-05-2009 10:09 PM

i'll take a bubble tea with a deep fried mouse

that.

bsftong 10-07-2009 11:00 AM

I wouldn't go back there ever again. It took me 10 minutes before someone came to help to order some drinks for take-out, and turned out they ran out of pearls. Not the brightest bunch of people working there.

bcrdukes 10-07-2009 12:53 PM

My friend went there last night at 11pm only to have the waitress tell her "Good morning!" :lol

ra1nn 10-07-2009 03:06 PM

i don't really care what they drive or what their personal life is..
work is work. When i walk in, i'm the customer and they are serving me.
Customer service shouldn't be ignored no matter what the situation is.
At then end, if you don't give me good service, i don't
give u good tips :)

That's the thing, like they care if u give them tips or not. Wow, extra TWO DOLLARS, big deal.

Not trying to justify it, but that's my impression so far @ these twanger joints.

hmm ya.
My friend went to that bbt place beside espot? and they would not get the bill for them.
so they just left without paying.
