yes you are allowed to bring from US, you need to get a permit. drive across the border, and at the town of Blaine you can get it all done.

we caught oysters and clams and also geoduck and we bought some back to Richmond.

Anthony Bourdain went to catch geoduck when he filmed an episode in Seattle. He kept on going on and on about how hard it was to get them cause you have to do a lot of digging.

^^^ it's actually not that bad.
it's abotu the same size you get from the restaurant.

it's all abotu skills in gettting these geoducks.
i shoudl post up pics next time.
oysters are very small and hard to find. clams are a dime a dozen so it's fun but geoduck and oysters was by far the toughest.

we cooked the clams with clamato juice right at the beach + hot pot bowl. Osysters we just put on grill..

you gotta find the tip of the neck when its just above the sand, then you gonna dig real deep around the neck, once you have it deep enough, you grab the neck so it doesnt run away then you dig out the rest of the body

texada island has some pretty big ones

geoduck don't always have their necks out of the sand.

An easier way to find geoduck is to look at the sand for dimples about the size of a loonie and stick 2 fingers in it and feel around. If you feel a hole, you are getting close. Start digging! Make sure you go during low tide. If the tide starts coming in, it will become a lot harder. I told you the secret in finding them, now go read the regulations. Only certain areas are open at certain times of the year.
