Do officers have the right to ask you to show your licence at a roadblock?

Of course! They also have the right to write if you refuse to show it.

In addition to have to carry it and produce it any state your name and that of the owner of the vehicle you also..

b) refuses or fails to produce a subsisting driver's licence, permit, certificate, motor vehicle liability insurance card, financial responsibility card, or consent issued to him or her under this Act when requested by a peace officer or constable to do so, or refuses or fails to permit it to be taken in hand for the purpose of inspection by the peace officer or constable.

Any more questions? BTW, you don't have to do pushups until he finishes the ticket. I don't care WHAT you have heard..:)

Just got my license back and I'm only 1 ticket away from Suspension....

Its not that hard to not get a ticket. I've had 1 ticket in over 10 years of driving. That one ticket came in my first 2 years.

My wife's been driving 27 years, never had a ticket or at-fault accident.

Then again, driver training was a mandatory course in high school in Illinois.

I'm not sayin'... I'm just sayin'.
