WTB: Toyota MR2 turbo, or Nissan Skyline

Looking to buy either a 1992+ MR2 turbo, or 2 DOOR Nissan skyline GTS-T or GTR.. Modded or stock is fine, JDM MR2's are okay.

Must have no rust, and no major mechanical problems, also looking for something that is aircared.

Looking to spend up to $8000... prefer lower, unless your car really appeals to me.

MR2 specific colours: Red, white, black,
Skyline: Anything but silver or red.

Let me know what you guys have.

Thank you!

its expensive, but my brother has this

1990 MR2, t-top, black, JDM

lowered, 17 inch rims

TD06 turbo kit, with METH injection, cams and cam gears

seriously fast, killer sound system too, low mileage, not aircared but could be

$14,000

Your welcome. That is true. Alot of jdm are in bad shape. Now and then youll get a grade 4 car but thats gonna cost over 19,000 if ur in the area of a r32 mk4 ect. IVe seen alot of jdm that are at cost of 8-14,000 and there just junk. Other then that just keep your eye open and you'll find suming! Good luck

$8k is going to get you a POS... my friend is looking to replace his dead gts-t (paid $7k for it and the engine seized up a few months later - total loss and he had to sell it for parts) and now he thinks he can get a mint 1989 GTR for this much (NOT)

Yeah I'm not expecting to find a GTR for $8000.. but I just put it out there, since there are deals to be had from time to time. I think $8000ish is a good price for a GTS-T. My friend got his for $9000 a while back, car is in mint condition with a brand new bayside blue paint job.

Anyways, I wish people were more upfront with their cars, such a waste of time to travel around and find out the car is a piece.... So far I've looked at an MR2 in white rock, owner claimed there wasn't any accidents, yet nothing on the body lines up, + doesn't pass aircare, =(

Also looked at a skyline in richmond, I was told "minor rust", the whole quarter panels were rusted through.

Car searching sucks.

the only people who are up front are the ones who have an honest car to sell, and are priced accordingly.

i have many stories to tell, like a friend in victoria who went all the way to abbotsford to look at a "mint, no accidents" eg civic that he later did a vin check and found about $18k in accident damage history on it... or an e46 m3 owner who kept lying about how honest his car was (dealer serviced, no issues, blah blah) right up to the point i pointed out the huge crack in the rear subframe when i had it inspected

anyway, there was a RHD MR2 here a few months back. had a TRD widebody kit on it and i think it was black. i can't find the post now... does anyone remember the car? the owner was trying to get rid of it because he had bought a second one i think...

can't say. should make for an interesting story as to what it's doing in WA. i would try to find more info as to why it's in the US with bc registration with an american owner? i don't know what that could be with ownership transfer. tell them to bring all paperwork.

Yeah, she claims to be a mechanic, and has receipts from previous owner of the car... Racing Greed did a bit of work on it before... I just can't wrap my head around why she would buy a car which is illegal to register in America.... even if it is to flip for profit.

Btw checked out the silver MR2, needs a lot of body work. Lots of oil leaks as well. The guy traded it into Bay City Kia right after I left, and now those guys have it listed for $4800.

Darren, whether you buy a MR2, BNR32, whatever it still won't pull as hard as my Civic. LOL
