Laughable if you ask me. He hasn't done a damn thing to warrant this thing. Well besides saying 1) "I'm not George Bush" 2) "Hello Iran, and mid east terrorist groups. I know you want to kill us, but let's just talk. I'll give up my weapons just to show you i'm not playing, ok?" |

what has he done for humanity, let alone the american people this far into his term he really seems like a do-nothing president, he'll sit back on the advice of advisors, make safe decisions, and run it out a bunch of people i was talking to today who are fairly into US politics including one black guy said they all didnt think he would make it to a second term |

Like I said, Bush was a real fuck up. When Obama talks, ppl listen. And in 8 months, he's basically told the world, I'm POTUS and I'm not a fucken idiot. |
There have only been two other American Presidents that got the Nobel Peace Prize and they definitely did a lot more than what Obama has done. He pretty much got a peace prize for saying, "We need to change" anyone with a mouth and some ounce of common sense could say that, but that does not mean they deserve a nobel peace prize. I mean it would be one thing if down the line they gave him the peace prize as a result of stabilizing the middle east, and vastly improves his country's way of life, but he hasn't done any of it yet. Just because he has the intention or the seeming potential to make a difference doesn't mean he has already. That's like giving some researcher the nobel prize because he claims in a few years time he's gonna discover something AMAZING. The world hasn't changed for the better yet, and while there may be some signs, to award Obama the nobel peace prize so early in his term when he has almost no concrete results just cheapens the Nobel Peace Prize. Right now other leaders are saying well he better work hard to prove he deserved it, but last time I checked you aren't supposed to be pre-awarded something for future actions, you're supposed to actually do something then be recognized for it. It's like giving some kid out of film school an oscar for best picture of 2013 before he's even made it. What's even funnier are the diehard supporters of Obama who say don't count Obama out for doing something incredible, when the actual issue is that he's been awarded for saying stuff and doing something he hasn't done yet. |
not really about what he has accomplished, but its what he stands, obama is the posterboy for the american dream, the process of getting elected is harder work although maybe not as innovative than w.e he may accomplish as president as soon as you get elected, your presidential powers diminish greatly as each day passes... by the 100th day the majority of your power to influence is subject to admin anyway that being said i thought he shouldnt have got it |
