Please and thank u! | if i was the cop that pulled you over and saw that other cops had previously issued tickets for your tint, then i'd just give you a vi (if appropriate) and make you cry =p.
if you're willing to pay to play, then just keep tinting your windows! |

not the same situation but a similar one. a cop once told me when i was randomly pulled over that i could get a ticket for my HID's and that they could keep doing it as many times as they like until i got rid of them.
i take it the ticket would be the same amount, it's just that they can fine you an unlimited number of times.

Keep the tint, until COST > BENEFIT.
At which point, you go back to the shop, pay some money, get the tint removed. Afterward, pay a visit to the officer to get a reduced ticket, which you then pay off.
its pretty simple really. i feel that the cumulative IQ of RS was just brought down 10 fold by the OP.

Why don't you just tint the thread so you can't see any rude replies?

| technically, should be until:
(COST OF TICKETS)+(COST OF TINT REMOVAL) > BENEFIT FROM HAVING TINT |

Man, most of you can't wait to jump on the bandwagon...
This guy isn't even griping about getting a ticket... he's only asking a question, and that is what happens if he doesn't take it off.
I don't believe the next ticket will be more expensive, but I guess you could get a VI for it, at which point I guess you'd have no choice but to remove it.

Tint on your front windows is illegal.
I have front tint and no front plates, i've gotten numerous tickets in the past, I usually just pay the fine as a cost of running tint and no front plates. If you pay early, you save $25 bucks so the ticket is $84 bucks. It's the price I pay for having some privacy and being comfortable when it's 30-40C+ like the past summer we just had. Fact is, cops are pretty reasonable as long as you are nice, a few of them wanted to give me VI's after viewing multiple infractions on file but if you honest and straight up with them they will usually just give you a ticket and if it's a really nice cop they will just give you a warning on 1 infraction and ticket the other one.
I've been ticketed for tint by the same cop 3 times and pretty much have an understanding with each other. He doesn't waste my time by taking hours to write me a ticket and I don't waste his by making him go to court and bitching about it.
However, if you aren't willing to pay the fine for front tint, then just remove it instead of coming on RS and bitching about it.
Also to answer your question, if the cop gave you a ticket, you can keep paying it off and it won't go up. However, if he gave you a VI, then you have to get your vehicle inspected within 30 days and if you don't the next time you get pulled over it will be a ~$500 fine and automatic impound.
