Did anyone watch the 500m short track speed skate? I just watched in on CTV online, but it seems to me that Hamelin gave the Korean a little tap, while Ohno tapped Tremblay too. I understand why Ohno got DQ'ed, but if you watch it closely, Hamelin tapped the Korean on the side while making that turn, and when the Korean was falling, he kinda just swiped at him with his right hand again... Anyone catch that? I'm sure someone here did. Just not sure why Hamelin didn't get DQ'ed for that

I watched the game at LiveCity tonight. Everyone was gasping and LUUUUUUing with everything. They also showed short track so we knew we got the two golds and the bronze. Cue the CAN-NA-DA!!!! + O Canada.

It looked like Hamelin tapped the Korean while he was falling, which made him fall harder. If you watch it very closely, he uses the back of his fingers to just so slightly brush the Korean at his side. Ohno's impede was much more obvious. Total push.

Dunno...could've gone either way for Hamelin and the Korean dude.

I've got a busted lip from either a chick kicking me in the face or a security guard elbowing me when she was trying to get out of the crowd. Plus I've got some bruising happening from the barrier getting crushed into my chest from the huge crowd pushing.

Rough but goddamn, what an awesome show.

some random VANOC volunteer decided to do a photobomb on a picture that a security guard was helping me take at the O Zone. -10 points for professionalism... honestly wtf? /rant

anyways it was pretty intense downtown wednesday night when Womens' Hockey got the Gold. Police officers were High-fiving whoever was passing by.

Tomorrow and Sunday will be my only time to video capture Olympic stuff downtown other than the Paralympics. Hopefully it won't rain too hard! By the way guys, can I drive to Stanley park?

Holland House night #7 was great

Took a pic with the little guy that performed tonight and he was fucking awesome.

Also took a pic with Bob De Jong who won bronze for Netherlands in the men's 10000m speed skating event. Super cool dude that was down to party!

amazing olympics so far. enjoying every moment of it. since the women has won the bulk of the gold medals, now it's up to the men's to win the rest of the golds today and tomorrow (3-4 more potential gold medals).

Thoughts on who should carry the flag at the closing ceremonies?

I'm going off-track here, and say it should be more than 1 person. Why? We've already lit the cauldron with 4 (3 lol) people, and it'd be a good symbolic gesture that canada is a unified team, where not just 1 person gets the honour; but it is shared across everyone.

If i had to choose just 1 though, it'd be the MONSTER Alex B.

I say Marc Emery. We haven't showed the world our marijuana culture yet. He will proceed to light a huge joint from the cauldron before it goes out.
