Where to buy Alcantara fabric locally?

Does anyone know where to buy Alcantara fabric locally? I'm looking for just a square yard of the stuff. Went to Pro Leather on Heather and they wanted 150 bucks for a square yard and if they were to wrap my motorcycle seat for me, it would cost 250!! Might as well buy a Corbin or Sargeant seat for that price.

It's on Ebay for about 50 bucks for a square yard but I would like to pick it up locally if possible. I've done some research and supposedly, suede or micro-suede will fade in the sun over time.

Anyone know any other places that sells this stuff? TIA.

The stuff on Ebay is branded Alcantara. I forgot to mention that I visited that place today too and they don't carry Alcantara or micro-suede. But thanks for the suggestion.

This is the one I'm keeping my eye on but would still prefer to buy locally: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Alcan...#ht_500wt_1182

oO that stuff looks legit might as well get a couple rolls or group buy though since it's only $5 more for shipping for additional roll.

are you doing your bike seat? i thought about that aswell but was unsure how the feel would be if it would be too sticky and how it would hold up to rain/sun

MV agusta uses alcantara on their seats. heres a pic of perfed and stitched alcantara on the F4CC

Yeah I want to redo my bike seat because the the vinyl has separated from the foam and looks like there are bubbles forming. I wasn't too sure how the Alcantara would hold up in the rain but I don't plan on riding too much during crappy weather anyway and if I do get caught in rain, I figured my ass is covering the seat anyway...

The perforated Alcantara looks really nice!!

I may just settle for micro-suede because it seems more readily available from furniture manufacturers. The only difference I think is that it isn't UV resistant so it will fade in the sun. I plan on getting black so I'm guessing it'll fade to gray over time.

Well I just finished rewrapping my seat with suede. I found sable suede at Fabricland for cheap and just wanted to experiment. It's pretty sticky, stickier than the stock vinyl for sure. I ended up using the stock vinyl as a template to make this one.

I laid down some aerosol glue and stapled around the seat. It turned out pretty nice. I'll take pics of it tmrw when there's more light out.

How much are you guys looking? I might have a contact to get you some premium Alcantara (with automobile grade fire retardant standard)

But I need a more exact figure to determine the price.

Finally got around to taking pics of the seat:

And here's a wallpaper I made of my bike that showcases the seat:

I'd probably need 1/2 a square meter to one square meter at the most. Thanks in advance.

I checked out their Ducati seat and looks really good. If I decide to go down this route, I'll let them know you sent me. Thanks as well.
