Where to buy: Gloss/Matte Vinyl wrap?

K so I wanna wrap a part of my family MB C350's grill in gloss/matte black so its less...brushed hahaha...for those of you who know what the grill looks like, I want to wrap the brushed part so only the chrome part shows...similar to C63 grill

Does anyone know where I can buy this kinda wrap? I know theres lots of places that sell fake CF wrap but I got no idea where I can get vinyl wrap like this...is vinyl wrap even the right type?

Yeah I say spray paint it because it might fall off if you warp it.

try plasti-dipping it?

http://www.plastidip.com/

u can special order the spray cans from home hardware....around 17 bucks CAD before tax....and if u get it from the states, its only around 6-8bucks USD

lots of ppl use it to black out grills, badges, and even rims...it gives a rubber-feel flat black finish once it dries

and if u dont like it, u can rub/peel it off.

i have done it on my lancer grill and front bumper...that shit's good.

I say spray it, since it'll be better looking, doesn't really matter if it's reversible IMO it's no big deal, just make sure you properly mask it.

I have a MB and will comment on this grill mod:

1. I painted it myself, it chipped like crazy. I did all the proper prep (rough surface, prime, paint) and it still sucked.

2. I have seen wrapped grills, looks awful when the vinyl gets rock-chipped, and it will. There's no easy way to repair it.

3. I had mine professionally painted, resisted chipping much better.

4. Rubberized fender coating or truck bed liner is actually the best I've seen. You can get a nice glossy flat finish, and its durable as fuck.

Canadian tire sells Chrome black out Vinyl tape for $6.99 It's a pretty big roll, enough to cover your grill. Try that.

i think $6.99 is worth a shot thanks ...i didnt think that the grill would be prone to chipping haha, it looks pretty clean to me just normal. doesnt look like its hit by rocks that would chip vinyl :/...and the grill isnt something that you would touch other than car washing

if you've never done vinyl wrapping, don't do it, your grille would be very hard to wrap especially around the curve of the three pointed star. I'd tried this but eventually gave up with all the bubbles showing. Ended up painting it flat black. You can count me on this one.
