It says he sold it for $50 million. He bought it for $20 million in 2003.

No, different boat. XSR48. If James May was on the WallyPower he would've won, I swear.

The XSR's "only" 1.25m GBP, too. :p

It was in The Island, the pimp boat that Scarlett Johanson was on.

Gumby 10-25-2009 01:43 PM

The helicopter looks a tad bit on the large side, landing on such a small spot!

But yeah, ballin' like crazy...

And that's how it went down, so sad! If they did more research they could have sold it for more then double!

Eclipse was recently launched and is now the longest in the world. Despite all the speculation, little can be confirmed about the yacht. Even a definite length has not been pinned down with certainty. Reports have put the cost at anywhere from $300 million to $700 million. Russian billionaire Abramovich will take possession once it is finished, likely in early 2010.

is this the one with its own SAM missiles and rocket launchers?

Hondaracer 10-26-2009 05:13 PM

Maltese Falcon is the sickest private yacht imo, the guy who originally built it [dunno if he still owns the boat] buys the most carbon fiber in the world outside of the US Military

Gumby 10-26-2009 09:26 PM

Wow the Maltese Falcon looks sweet-ass inside. I know they're functional and all, but the three masts kinda ruin the overall look of the exterior, IMO.
