Governemnt wants to get their revenue out of tourism simply because there is nothing else to attract people come here. DTES still problematic yet the governement are not trying hard enough.
Instead of giving homeless people free food/drug/accmodation, why not hire them in helping roof making or city works ?

Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's right for the safe injection site and other spoon-feeding services provided to the homeless fucks that have no contributing value to society. However, there needs to be some sort of rehabilitation for these people, at least an option. I read somewhere that since there's so many homeless now, the city will either arrest them or give them the option to attend long term rehabilitation, which would be better money spent than a retractable roof.

I am fucking sick of broadway, I have to get off every morning there and leave every night there, if I was working saturday night, I'm sure I would have seen it / been involved.
