where do you get your daily fibre from?

sometimes I eat oatmeal in the morning.....

that's pretty much it. i think i need more fibre (soluble and insoluble)

what do you guys take?

leelu 10-27-2009 01:37 PM

don't you eat veggies and fruits? those are a good source of fibre
veggies, fruits and whole grains

Ducdesmo 10-27-2009 01:41 PM

Lots of fibers in apple..
also you can take psyllium husk seeds or powder if you dont think you consume enough throughout the day

MR_BIGGS 10-27-2009 01:41 PM

Bran muffins with raisons! If you eat two a day you'll shit at least once a day. Keeps you regular.

unit 10-27-2009 03:39 PM

i dont eat enough. i have a bowl of cereal which has around 6g, then a little vegetables in a day i probably get less than half of what i need. i should bring an apple to work or something.

hal0g0dv2 10-27-2009 05:36 PM

ground flax seed has tons
any kind of beans or legumes has a shit load
all bran
oat bran sprinkle that stuff on cereal
oats
kidney beans
make sure to drink lots of water with lots of fiber intake
there is fucking tons of food

hotong 10-27-2009 10:09 PM

fibre 1 cereal

sas 10-27-2009 10:33 PM

Pasta. 12g per serving.
Oats in my shakes
Beans (black has almost an equal proportion of protein and fibre. Kind of cool)

Jeffield 10-27-2009 10:41 PM

I working on becoming a vegetarian so I eat a lot of vegetables and fruits.

I also eat a lot of white rice (not a very good source of fiber).

I also usually eat a big bowl of hot oatmeal or granola a day. :D

Oh and I snack on Kashi granola bars b/t meals. :D

unit 10-28-2009 08:35 AM

^why would you want to be a vegetarian?

Mostly for health reasons, but environmental and inhumane treatment of farm animals are factors also.

Check out The China Study by T. Colin Campbell, its by far the best book I've read this year. Good luck! :D

^wouldnt that persuade you to eat organic or free run meat instead? as opposed to skipping meat completely

Make sure to keep your caloric intake up as well and get lots of fats. Quinoa is close to a complete protein and so is tofu but I will let you decide whether to intake tofu or not. Everyone thinks they are an expert in the matter.

I ate a disgusting amount of beans and fats.

Organic is infinitely better than the grotesque stuff produced by factory farms but even then, from my preliminary and ongoing research, meat, even wild/organic is extremely harmful to people if eaten on a regular basis.

For most of human history, people have lived on a plant based diet and meat was a luxury- eating maybe only a few times a month if even that. Our bodies have evolved to suite this diet.

No society is however fully vegetarian, meat is eaten sparingly to get some nutrients that are hard to come by from plants. I've abstained from eating farmed animals but still eat some wild fish (sushi).

Here is a introduction to the benefits of going vegetarian or at least limiting meat consumption.

For more in depth information (on research and studies) I recommend reading "The China Study" by T. Colin Campbell and "Healthy at 100" by John Robbins. For information on how your meats are raised and processed read "Slaughterhouse" by Gail A. Eisnitz. All are available from your local library. :D

Werd

Do as much research for yourself as possible, keep abreast of current and new research and come to your own conclusions. Live long and prosper. :D

Actually, I am not selling it but I m buying the product to drink my self.

Honestly, after taken it I do feel improvement to a lot of things in my life.

threezero 10-31-2009 05:57 PM

^ placebo effect

My buddy was hawking the same product few months back. I gave it a try since he gave me some free sample. the shit taste nasty and it feels like your drinking slime. Buddy said to drink it for at least a week, I will see improvements.

After the end of the week all I want to do is puke. what is wrong with getting the proper nutrient the old school way by eating the actually thing instead of slime?

ZhangFei 10-31-2009 06:34 PM

i dunno how a FUCKING JUICE can give you fibre. unless the rind's or seeds are in it lol.

bah you guys are pretty much in the same place I am... lol.

I can say I'm a regular guy guy. I take a dump in the morning, maybe once in the mid-day and then one about 8-9 oclock.

even though I'm regular.... the fuckin shit varies in shapes, sizes and colors... i don't think it's supposed to be like that... lol

aren't they all supposed to be logs?
