I would both Thank AND Fail this post, but apparently I can't do that. Lamesauce. :p I wouldn't mind a Rogers-branded HSPA+ MOTODROID though. :p

.....what?

triplexcel 10-29-2009 03:49 PM

i was referring to the fact that rogers plans are expensive..

damn you quoted me LOL

Tim Budong 10-29-2009 04:24 PM

The Q4 launch is weak for Rogers compared to the previous years. Of course, the selling point this quarter would be the 9700/8520 and sadly, the LG Eve

but its ok, the Fido Q4..welcome to err..RED PEARL..bwahahah circa 2006
anyways

!Shuya80 10-31-2009 11:42 PM

red pearl = fail...just sold the last one yesterday. the focus of q4 = data data data. good new is unlimited network calling is back and $50 voice and data plan is getting ABIT better with the option of UNC.

Long story short in terms of plans its the same shit just abit more daytime minutes and UNC. phones...tbh nothing too exciting. The lg eve was kinda fun but other then that nothing much...

@darthchilli:: u fail for not coming. i could've registered u.

Why does Rogers call the Xperia X1 "NEW RELEASE"???? are they referring to the price of $99 being new?

hongy 11-02-2009 07:53 PM

Yeah it should be referring to the new price. I think it's like 250$ right now even with a 3 year data plan

Rogers to launch N86… declares their lineup “is the envy of wireless companies around the world”

By Kate O'Brien ⋅ November 4, 2009 ⋅ Post a comment
http://mobilesyrup.com/wp-content/up...le-300x137.jpgWe first found out about the Nokis N86 when Nokia’s Holiday Guide was released a few weeks ago. Then last week, a document popped up that showed the N86 as part of Rogers new “Webphones” lineup.
Today Rogers has officially announced the N86 will be available “in the coming weeks” for $99.99 on a three-year voice and data plan. They describe the N86 as “Coming soon to Rogers in time for the holidays is the sleek and stylish Nokia N86 smartphone featuring an impressive 8 megapixel camera and 8GB of onboard memory to store music, movies and photos.”
More importantly is the essence of new competition. On the day that Bell launches their new HSPA network, Rogers comes in storming and declares their dominance. The press release title stated Unparalleled HSPA smartphone lineup underscores Rogers’ network superiority… sound like the networks are friends right. You’ll see I’ve highlighted the important statements. Us Canadians are very humble.
Rogers continue to inform us Canadians that “Rogers has been perfecting the GSM family of technologies for nearly ten years. Today, with a selection of more than 30 HSPA devices, Rogers offers the broadest portfolio of the wireless products Canadians want including the widest range of HSPA smartphones, Google Android and BlackBerry devices, and the best variety of Quick Messaging phones.”
John Boynton, EVP Marketing at Rogers said “Rogers customers can choose from a device lineup that is the envy of wireless companies around the world. We are proud to offer 30 HSPA-ready devices – more than ever before – more than our competitors combined. Only Rogers offers the right handset at any price point, including five incredible Webphones priced at under $100.”
Bob Berner, EVP Network & CTO at Rogers said “Customers looking for a proven HSPA network will continue to choose Rogers,” said “We introduced our HSPA network back in 2006 and we continue to invest significantly in our network technologies. Our proven network lets us offer seamless communications on the widest selection of high-performing HSPA devices to our customers.”
