Beware of H1N1 ... Boy, 13, dies of H1N1 in Toronto hospital http://news.ca.msn.com/top-stories/c...entid=22415078 A 13-year-old minor-hockey player from Toronto has died of the H1N1 virus. Evan Frustaglio died Monday evening at St. Joseph's hospital. "Toronto Public Health is confirming the death of a ... Toronto resident from H1N1," the department said Tuesday in a news release. "We're in pretty big shock here losing a 13-year-old boy who was as healthy as can be," Evan's father, Paul Frustaglio, told CBC News. |
saw this on ctv such a tragic story! it happened in a short period of time too unbelievable Posted via RS Mobile |
Fail. There is no proof that his death was caused by the flu. |
^ There's also no proof it WASN'T caused by the flu. Unless there's some info at the hospital we don't know about. In any case, my doctor friend did recommend that people get the vaccine shot, just so you don't become part of the problem if an epidemic does break out. I'll be bringing my mother and sister. |
I've got my shotgun ready... That vaccine is gonna turn everyone into zombies! |
89 other people also died while infected. |
saw this on the news, pretty sad story |
w/e... h1n1 is no where close to being the number 1 killer... |
its the flu and its a little bit stronger than a "normal strain" RIP to the boy regardless of how he past away. |
The first shipment of H1N1 vaccine has arrived. I'm not getting it until the first batch of people confirm that it's safe to use. |

The h1n1 is just as harmful as the common flu, the difference ( from what I've read) is that "hini is just more transmissible than the commond cold Posted via RS Mobile |

I lost a cousin in California last month under similar circumstances. She was only 13 years old as well. The sad part is that her mom died just a few days earlier from heart disease. From what my dad tells me, my cousin had developed flu like symptoms extremely quickly within a day. They took her to the hospital and was sent home with some common flu medication. The next day she went into a coma and on the day of her mom's funeral, the doctors said she couldn't be saved and was pulled off life support. :( Can't even write a story that messed up. With that being said, whether it's H1N1 or the food you eat or someone wasn't paying attention while driving... we're all going to go someday. Never know when. I'm not going to eat myself up worrying about it. Kev |

^ Yes. Just him and his 8 year old son left. It was so emotionally draining that my dad couldn't stay for the daughter's funeral. He just felt miserable and flew back early. Selfish of him, but I understand his perspective. Kev |
My condolences go out to the boy and to the family, but I for one am starting to fatigue of the H1N1 talk. The common flu kills thousands of people each year. The only thing different about H1N1 is that people born after the 1940s have no natural immunity to it which means that it has the potential to kill off more people. You can hide in your basement for the next 6 months, or you can get on with the rest of your life. |

I actually know someone from my school who got the H1N1. However, it wasn't anything serious and apparently she's recovering quite well. |
Fuck H1N1 and all the people who make threads about it. educate yourself before blindly following what's on the news. |
