So who voted for this piece of shit and for Vision Vancouver:
rofl every thread that has to do with vancouver city council fail, i look forward to seeing what you have to say, because i know it's always something fresh, and different everytime :P
and yes, i can't believe people didn't remember how badly COPE fucked up vancouver ... yet they still voted for vision. sigh.
The city is imposing an annual $3-a-seat tax on all city restaurants, raising money to hire food police who will make sure restaurants comply.
whack!
that sucks for restaurants that dont even serve alcohol lol. thats like ppl who drive have to pay for transit... oh wait, we'll have to do that next year...
I love the fact that we have the most hypocritical laws in the world. If you have a beer on the beach on a warm summers day, you get treated like you are a criminal by the police and get harassed, beer taken away, and a ticket.
However, if you are smoking crack and scaring people shitless they do absolutely nothing and completely ignore it. On top of that, they feel sorry for these people.
The government treats everyone like children and imposes these laughable rules. We will become the laughingstock of the world when the Olympics come and people from around the world discover our laws.
I most likely shouldnt be saying this BUT...
This by law was actually not thought up by the city. One company that owns quite a few bars/pubs/lounges in Vancouver has been trying to get this through for a while now. Bar/Pubs/Lounges dont get effected by this by law so it would force people that want to drink to go there instead of restaurants.
I'm not gonna say the name of the company but it starts with a D and ends with an onnelly.
Dont totally blame the city for putting this through. Blame the companies being greedy and wanting to make more money.
