dress code is now in place for all events held at city-owned buildings

Parents of under-aged girls in Vancouver no longer have to worry about their daughters showing up at all-age dance parties wearing only a bikini.

A dress code is now in place for all events held at city-owned buildings, including Pacific Coliseum where an all-night Halloween dance party is being held this weekend.

The City's Chief License Inspector, Barb Windsor, says the dress code targets girls as young as 14 who could be preyed upon by older men, "Parents may not be aware of it and there was a complaint to the police and I guess somebody was dressed what they thought inappropriately for their age, given that there are also older people at these events."

Banned items include so-called booty or hot shorts, lingerie and swimsuits, but tube and tank tops are okay.

last doomsnight already had this rule in place.
thank GOD i went to dooms 2 years ago when girls were still wearing booty shorts.

TOS'd 10-29-2009 08:41 AM

What if they wear them under and take off their outer layer when they get inside?

Yes, my house will be open that night. I guess I should ID them that night too, don't want to end up like that guy in the "LGs at boss" thread.

TheKingdom2000 10-29-2009 11:50 AM

asahai69 10-29-2009 04:04 PM

If parents of under aged kids let them go to an all night rave. Then booty shorts and bikinis are the least of their problems.
