RS Ski Trip - day?

Rent a bus or 2, and head OUT OF VANCOUVER during a week of the olympics (if you got no tickets.)

i think the toy/food drive would be a great idea. perhaps we could make it a friendly competition between other car groups/forums (local)?

it is a good idea, do something for the community in terms of some volunteering or whatnot. It will give RS a positive boost in public image, as well as get some of our members off the interwebz. Logistics for this kind of thing must be a nightmare though, and we need big box sponsors so we can get the event out there so it won't be just RS members donating crap they can't sell on the Buy and Sell forums.



EDIT: Maybe Jeffield can give us some cash?

i actually think the volunteering and community service thing is pretty good...both for public image and for those of us who need a little moral boost hahaha...and plus we could have a great time doing it and i could fill out some service hours for school :haha::haha:

secure a big parking lot for night time
rig up some scaffolding or use a big wall
get a decent projector and run the movie of choice
broadcast sound over radio
charge for popcorn and hot dog
pack up and go when done

But I really like the outdoor movies idea. Although its getting kinda cold at night now. Are there any drive thru theatres in the lower mainland?
yeah, there is one in Langley that I've been to I don't know if they let people rent it out though, but someone could look into it I guess
