And I got the spark plugs put back oem spec spark plugs even though my old ones were still good. As well had the valves checked, they were within spec.
Dealership sucks, paid them all that money to say i don't know, or it might be the ecu, we won't know til we replace it and if its not, then you still have to pay for it and labor. And then we will start guessing other parts to replace.
Its not like I haven't tried, I'm just sick of wasting money for no results
| which dealership and which mechanics, where they all just guessing? any mechanic could scope it during idle to see if the spark plugs are working well or not by looking at the firing line, i say you got ripped off pretty bad if you paid $1600 and got nothing out of it, we charge $150 and usually figure out the issue by then unless we need tear down time or the issue is intermittent, then the cost would go up but not by much, any mechanic can guess and maybe get it right, i see guess work all the time, most dealership guys just replace parts and hope things work, it takes a good diagnostician to diag an issue and stand behind their work,
if you wanna come to my shop, let me know, im sure the techs would love something like this, we just did DRL on a 06 Ford GT that no one in the lower mainland would even touch |
