Hankerchiefs

Why do ppl still use this shit? It's utterly discusting. My grandpa used to use them when he was in china but thats understandable, poor economy back then, cant really afford to buy a pack of tissues everyday. Fuk was just on the train here in the UK and some late 20 year old bloak busted out a hankerchief, blew his nose in it then folded it and jammed it back in his pocket. fuk. Wouldnt that shit seep through the cloth and onto the pants. Wtf happens when you need to blow your nose multiple times? I'd rather snort that shit and spit it out through my mouth.

You spelled "Bloke" wrong

I'm just reading jeremy clarksons latest book, and he mentions that he hates when non british people use british phrases. He compares it to a brit saying he wants 20 bucks.

Ronin 10-31-2009 10:40 PM

Pocket squares aren't for blowing your nose.

if a Brit were to come to North America. Yes it would make sense if he asked for 20 bucks because people here would have no fucking clue what the Brit is asking for if he said he wanted "20 quid".

WHAT YOU WANT 20 SQUID????

But I doubt a Brit would say he wants 20 bucks in the UK anyways. Kinda hard to imagine.

SolidPenguin 11-01-2009 01:14 AM

Well a Buck is for DOLLAR, and quid is for POUND. So they wont be interchangeable.

And no, it doesnt seem weird when a british guy uses buck instead of dollar to me.

geeknerd 11-01-2009 08:21 AM

for this instance is for nose blowing as i saw the guy blow his nose and put it back in his pocket.

AzNightmare 11-02-2009 12:44 AM

That's a good point either way. I don't see why anyone would want to keep something they used to wipe something dirty in their pocket and reuse it before washing it.

But then how do you seem "dashing" when a lady needs to dab her face after eating bangers and mash? Govn'na

By having a pack of clean fresh tissue paper in your pocket.

jlo mein 11-02-2009 02:31 PM

In the summer I spent a month in Japan and carried a handkerchief just like all the locals. Handy for wiping the sweat from your face when its 35 degrees outside and humid. Many people daily carry towels instead since its more effective, but also bulkier.

liu13 11-02-2009 02:40 PM

i fold clean unused napkins and put a few in my pocket, for emergency use, usually for just wiping anything off hands, i would not put that to my face though
