taxis

i normally always call bonnys taxi to get from my house to downtown (from central burnaby) and i know its usually within 30-35$ for the rid with average traffic....

on friday night me and friends were LOADED so we grabbed the taxi to go home....we know exactly wich route he took cause we were still giving him direction non stop all the way home...we made no pitt stops or anything...how did we get a 58$ fare ride home?!?!

we tried arguing with him saying how much of a scammer he was before he started shouting at us "give me my money or i call the police!"

we paid him his money and took off...is there anyway we can complain at bonnys??? this guys definetly out of sync with his meter...not a hope that it takes 58$ home...last night at 4am my taxi ride from barnone to my house was only 22$.....

--edit--

forgot to mention, for people who know burnaby, when we got off teh highway at the kensington/canada way...the fare was at 48$....by the time we got to buckingham heights (litterally 2 minutes away) the price was at 58$ how do you jump 10 dollars on less then 2 minutes?!?!

Thats why when you wave down the Taxi, you agree on the price first, and ride w/o the meter being on.

Could've made it home for 30

ive done that many times...just do a flat rate...but its usually the same price for a flat rate as it is to just drive...give or take a couple bucks...and when its split up between 3 buddys...a couple bucks dosnt make a difference..

If you have a problem with a taxi company you can take it up with the Passenger Transporation Board.
