I tried using gmail on my bold 9700 and same thing is happening. Either emails are getting delay or not receiving anything at all.

well if ppl were wondering the bold 9700 is back in stock as of today for HUP and i just ordered mine this morning haha

My problems with the Bold 2 now are resolved =) it's fully functional now ^^

Man, I'm tempted to get a 9700. I recently just cancelled with Rogers. They gave me beef so I cancelled it. Now looking at other providers like Telus or Bell. :/ Still have one more month before my service with Rogers is done. Maybe there's some special deals going on near Christmas time.

I made a post over at hofo mentioning that my emails are getting delayed, youtube doesn't work, and facebook notifications delayed.

update, if anyone even cares

went down to the states today, and the guy at the authorized 3rd party att retailer wouldn't sell me the 9700 at full price

he said best buy would be willing to tho, but I didnt have time to go check

im a bb noob. got a 9700.
went to m.google.com/maps and saw the link for 3.2.1.
clicked the link, it looks like its loading something, then stops. nothing is downloaded into my download folder.
anyone know?

anyone having trouble downloading appworld? My data plan doesnt start till next week but I should be able to download it thru wifi.
It says I do not meet system requirements but its a fucken 9700!!

^^ did u download it from your BB web browser? if so, it should jsut give you the option to dl once your on the site

when i tried to do mine through pc, it was saying my Bold 9000 doesnt meet the requirements

iam doing it thru the BB browser.

My phone fixed itself over a few days, I just had to be patient about it.





But anyways rolling onto the eye candy picture, my first and only mod for the bold 2. Unlike the bold 1, bold 2 looks very good in the stock form!

^ where'd you get the bottom part below the keyboard? or did you buy it straight from RIM? I'm looking for that part cause mine says Rogers on it.

^ yes it came in lol...except they kinda screwed up my order haha..
i ordered 3 copies..and they gave me 2.5...i'm missing half the skin with the back and side pieces on it lol...

and alatar has yet to pick his up yet hahahaha..

i think i'm gonna wait till i change the bottom piece and the chrome to black bezel before i apply it though

Received Bold 9700 from Rogers. Horrible build quality compared to my Telus 9700 and Bell one's being used by two colleagues. There gap between the bezel and the screen and lots of light leakage around the screen. Waiting for the replacement.

I have gotta change PIN on all my paid apps now and reinstall them. Again. FML!

It's the bold 2 unlocked from Bell being used with the Fido carrier.:thumbsup:

hmmm i just got mine from rogers and everything seems fine...one one tiny speck of light leakage from the right bottom corner of the screen with the end button...

i think the buttons itself has light leakage though...like the two buttons beside the trackpad..

alrighty...so apparently true supplier has the unbranded part of the bottom piece in stock..

due to shipping charges...i will order a few just so we all save some money..
when i get 5ish people that want it i will order i guess..

total will come out to about $10 CAD including shipping.

so lmk if u ppl want the bottom piece..cos i hate my rogers logo

Cnn.cn has good stuff. I ordered parts for my bold 9000 and they were great

Actually when it comes to their trackballs it's a hit or miss.

Because when I ordered mines, it was flimsy. 2 days after with the new track ball, it stopped scrolling in one direction. So I took the time to take apart the whole phone, took the whole trackball assembly apart, and put it back together.

From then on, it started to work fine. But the fact that I had to take it apart was a pain and a waste of time.
